Kiana is the Manager of Institutional Giving at Convergence. She studied at Virginia Commonwealth University where she obtained Bachelor’s Degrees in International Studies and Spanish Language, as well as a Translation/Interpretation Certificate. As an undergraduate she was an active member of the community, mentoring children and teaching English classes to non-native speakers.
Kiana has worked in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors with an interest in community building and policy areas such as foreign affairs, environment and education. She joined Americorps, serving as an outdoor educator to children in Richmond City Public Schools, and later went on to become a conflict resolution intern with a local Richmond nonprofit. Prior to working at Convergence, Kiana worked as a paralegal in multiple practice areas including immigration, criminal, traffic, and personal injury law.
In her free time, Kiana likes to dance, learn new languages, travel and try new cuisines. She also enjoys cuddles with her pet bunny, Prince.
