Mariah Harding serves as the Manager of Civil Service and Policy Affairs at Convergence.
Mariah has dedicated her career to relationship and bridge-building in a bipartisan capacity. She developed a passion for civil service as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Morocco where she served as a Youth Asset Builder in Tameslohte, Marrakech, working collaboratively with local youth leaders to create sustainable, locally taught, women’s health and education programs.
Mariah utilized and grew her expertise in bridge-building as the Nonpartisan Clerk of the Select Committee on the Modernization of Congress at the U.S. House of Representatives. She collaborated with a small team to stand up the Select Committee and create a safe, collaborative space for Members of Congress to unanimously pass 97 bipartisan recommendations for modernizing the House of Representatives in the 116th Congress.
Before joining Convergence, Mariah served as the Bipartisan Clerk for the House Committee on Homeland Security, where she led a team of clerks that served the full committee and 6 subcommittees.
Originally from Gardner, Massachusetts, Mariah earned her bachelor’s degree from Westfield State University in Westfield, Massachusetts. Mariah has settled in Washington, D.C. where she resides with her partner and two cats.
