Wendy Reed is a senior communications and stakeholder strategist currently serving the US Department of Energy on initiatives to dramatically reduce energy use associated with the buildings in which we work and live nationwide.
Prior to her work in support of the US DOE, Wendy ran a coaching practice for 6 years. She emphasized Positive Intelligence, a platform from which to help clients access the best of themselves to solve their work and life challenges.
Before coaching, Wendy was a strategic advisor on behavior-change communications campaigns for government and non-profit organizations. She is especially passionate about supporting initiatives that protect human and environmental well-being and “activating” others in these initiatives, and has focused on these themes her entire career.
Wendy’s career history goes back to being the former Campaign Director for the US Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR Change a Light, Change the World Campaign, an annual campaign she founded and ultimately led over 8 years. The campaign engaged thousands of utilities, retailers, manufacturers, state governments, and other federal agencies as partners, who together inspired millions of Americans to take a small step at home that makes a huge collective difference.
Wendy graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Human Communications from the University of Denver. She lives in Arlington, Virginia, with her husband Ken, and daughter.
