In a July 30 The Heart of Giving Podcast episode, Convergence Founder and First CEO Rob Fersh sat down with BBB Wise Giving Alliance’s The Heart of Giving Podcast Host and Convergence Board Chair, Art Taylor, to talk about his new book,” co-authored with Convergence CEO and President, Mariah Levison.

In the piece, Rob highlighted the importance of convening a vastly diverse group of perspectives to solve tough issues stating,

“We purposely go to people who are widely divided because the wider the divisions, the more durable the solutions… Different points of view can push thinking to a higher level.

Even if they enter the room skeptical or angry, we often create a culture of relationship that overcomes that. Many people you wouldn’t think necessarily could do this end up doing this naturally, and they are quite relieved not to be so angry or upset with the other side.”
