On May 2, we lost an unsung hero of the effort to create and successfully sustain Convergence. There might not even be a Convergence today but for all the help and guidance Rob Stein provided for almost a quarter century to incubate and build the mature organization we have today.
Rob Stein was deeply beloved and respected by nearly everyone who met him, no matter their political or other identities. He had a long career in non-profit and for-profit leadership, government service, and politics. He helped to stand up multiple organizations and may be best known as the founder and first CEO of the Democracy Alliance. In his NYT obituary, you can read more about his many contributions, and in particular, his lasting work at Democracy Alliance.
