In a March 5th piece, Alex Gonzalez wrote and spoke on the Convergence Collaborative on Supports for Working Families Blueprint for Action, featuring quotes from Collaborative Director Abby McCloskey and Collaborative participant, Lina Guzman. Gonzalez wrote on how Nevada is in especially dire need of improving child well-being stating,

 “As it relates to child well-being among all states, Nevada ranks at the bottom of the list…Nevada’s Department of Health and Human Services says there is only one licensed child care slot for every three children, classifying the state as a child care desert. “
