Margaret Richardson

Margaret leads Global Marketing and Corporate Affairs at GoFundMe. Her organization is responsible for public policy, communications, brand and creative, product marketing, and community engagement. The mission of Margaret’s teams is to tell the extraordinary stories of GoFundMe and its community of customers around the world, and to use these stories to help more people help each other. Margaret also serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors for GoFundMe.org, the strategic nonprofit partner to GoFundMe. Previously, Margaret led Trust and Safety and teams at Apple and Airbnb. Prior to leading Trust at  Airbnb, she led the Airbnb Global Policy team as it scaled globally. Prior to joining the private sector, Margaret served as Chief of Staff and Counselor to Attorney General Eric Holder, Jr. in the U.S. Department of Justice.  She holds a BA from the University of Virginia, a JD from U.C. Berkeley Law School and an MPA from Harvard Kennedy School. Margaret has been featured on national radio shows including Marketplace, and has offered her expertise in national news outlets such as Axios, the New York Times, NBC News, Axios and MarketWatch.
