James Coan is Co-Founder and Executive Director of More Like US. More Like US reduces political divides at scale in the US, largely by correcting overly negative political misperceptions of each other. He previously held roles including DC Alliance Co-chair and Mid-Atlantic Regional Lead for Braver Angels, one of the largest organizations focused on reducing political divides. He has been closely involved in this field since shortly after the 2016 election. He brings more than 10 years of strategy consulting experience, most recently at S&P Global. He started his career working at Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy, a think tank, after receiving a degree in public policy from Princeton.
