Hannah Ollenburger

Senior Manager of Executive Operations

Hannah Ollenburger is the Senior Manager of Executive Operations, and she is passionate about relationship-building and bringing her background in psychology to inform the operations, program management, and strategic planning of nonprofits. Having worked in both nonprofits and academia throughout her career, she keeps her finger on the pulse of the latest human dimensions research to inform strategies for helping nonprofits achieve their mission and vision.

Prior to joining Convergence, Hannah assisted the Executive Director of a regional nonprofit in advancing bipartisan, community-based solutions to managing the complex challenges associated with human population growth and climate change in the American West. She also spent the last decade cultivating relationships with the ranching communities of the Northern Rockies to identify the necessary processes and actionable strategies for increasing the use of regenerative agriculture practices that support rural families and economies, ensure coexistence with native wildlife like wolves, grizzly bears, and elk, and upend the inequities and climate threats of our industrialized food systems. Her work culminated in a book published by Anthem Press in 2022: The Atlas of Conflict Reduction: A Montana Field-Guide to Sharing Ranching Landscapes with Wildlife.

She received her PhD in Psychology from the City University of New York Graduate Center and her BA in Biology and Psychology from Swarthmore College. In her free time, she loves creating knitwear and writing knitting patterns inspired by the colors and textures of Montana’s landscape and hiking the mountains around her home in the Ruby Valley with her partner Mark and their energetic silver lab Posey.
