Takeo Kuwabara is a Programs Director at Convergence Center for Policy Resolution. Prior to joining Convergence he taught courses on leadership, negotiation, consensus building, dialogue across conflicting values, behavioral economics, environmental policy, and ethics. His research and applied field work included: collaborating with communities seeking to address the legacies of violent civil conflict in Northern Ireland and Peru; supporting collective climate adaptation interventions; building knowledge and capacity for community efforts to mitigate the disruptions of new technological interventions; and evaluating sustainability efforts and policies with a particular focus on how consensus building can further sustainability goals and enhance outcomes for all stakeholders.
Takeo holds undergraduate degrees from the University of California, Santa Barbara and graduate degrees from the University of San Diego and Harvard University, all with honors.
In his spare time he loves seeing and exploring the world through the eyes of his daughter, voraciously reading and drinking coffee, and running (increasingly slower but for farther distances).
