In an October 13, CityBiz piece, Leadership Howard County introduced its Leadership Premier Class of 2027.

Leadership Howard County is one of 14 communities participating in a national pilot designed to strengthen the collaborative capacity of community leaders by integrating Convergence’s collaborative problem-solving methodology into established Community Leadership Programs (CLPs) across the United States.

NCLC is coordinating the 14-city pilot, supporting local implementation, and leading shared learning and evaluation across participating communities. Convergence is providing the collaborative problem-solving curriculum, training, and ongoing support to participating CLPs.

Leadership Howard County included the initiative in its announcement, noting:

‘“Leadership Premier has always helped people better understand Howard County,” said Tim Payne, president and CEO of Leadership Howard County. “We’re increasingly asking a second question: What should someone be more capable of doing because they experienced this program? For us, that means developing leaders who can listen with curiosity, navigate difference, understand complex systems and work with others around the challenges and possibilities we share as a community.”’
